The all-new web and mobile services, the latest offering by Jet Airways, are geared toward customer service improvement in its modernization program that will complement the airline's other service upgrade.
The new web-based customer service features, among others, a unique system that is able to recognize customers upon check-in and an interactive seat map where customers can select a seat. Customers on code-share and interline flights would find it very easy now with the new service.
Customers may also want to use the airline's own app, the Jet Airways Mobile App, which can be downloaded for free using their smartphones. The app is supported by almost all popular and widely used mobile operating systems (mobile OS) such as Android, Apple's iOS, Windows Phone and Blackberry 10 .
The revolutionary web-based service has a unique capability to identify flights, that of Jet Airways and its low-cost subsidiary JetKonnect, through booking reference number issued upon booking either by the airline's own ticketing office or a booking agent.
The customers on code-share flights will also be able to breeze through check-in counters using the new service. They can also update their frequent flyer number through the facility.
Other conveniences offered by the web-based service include the possibility of customers to choose their meals (applicable only on Jet Airways flights) and the ability to find or view exit points and types of seats inside the cabin.
Passengers who successfully checked in will be given their e-Boarding Pass through email. Even after the customers completed their check-in procedure, they can still have a lot of options to make if necessary such as selection of seats or create changes to checked-in seats made during booking.
The airline's Senior Vice President for Commercial, Mr. Gaurang Shetty, boasted that Jet Airways has been a trend setter in introducing revolutionary products and services to air travelers for utmost convenience and enhance their travel experience.
