Jet Airways Enters Partnership with Air Seychelles

One of the leading airlines in India has entered a codeshare agreement with the national carrier of Seychelles, Air Seychelles. According to the deal, the two companies will offer better connections to passengers who use their networks.

Furthermore, the arrangement also includes reciprocal frequent flyer programs, cargo handling and more.

Both carriers will place their respective codes on the other ones flights. Jet Airways will put its "9W" code on Air Seychelles' flights between Mumbai and Mane as well as Abu Dhabi-Johannesburg, while the Seychelles carrier will place its "HM" code on the Indian carriers' services between Mumbai and Ahmedabad Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Jaipur, Kochi. In addition Air Seychelles will also place its code on Jet Airways service from Abu Dhabi to Mumbai.

CEO of Jet Airways Cramer Ball said:

Chief Executive Officer of Air Seychelles Manoj Papa had the following to say:

"Mumbai has, in short space of time, proven to be very popular with our guests. This agreement with Jet Airways will enhance our travel proposition by offering Air Seychelles' guests simple and convenient travel options within India. Thanks to our growing commercial ties with Jet Airways, we will be able to build our presence in India and provide Air Seychelles access to millions of potential Indian guests wishing to travel to the Seychelles, or beyond to Africa. Closer cooperation with cargo will further enable trade in the region and is in line with our business strategy."

Air Seychelles Chairman and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Transport of this country Joël Morgan said:

"We are pleased to sign this codeshare agreement, which I am confident will strengthen the close ties between our two countries."
