Jet Airways Awarded Best Domestic Airline

Jet Airways added another feather in its cap in the recent CNBC Awaaz Travel Awards 2013 held in Mumbai. The country's largest international carrier bagged the honor of being the "Best Domestic Airline" in India.

The airline was very proud to receive its award amidst the loud applause of approval from the audience which include some of the distinguished guests from the travel and trade sector. Shri Prithviraj Chavan, Maharashtra Chief Minister, was the guest of honor during the prestigious event.

CNBC Awaaz, the premier business channel in India, was the organizer of the annual event which is now on its seventh year. The said event was also possible with the help of Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC).

The CNBC Awaaz Travel Awards are annually given to organizations who excel in class travel destinations and other ancillary services in the tourism sector based on the consumers' response in a survey conducted all over the country. The awards, in general, aim to establish a benchmark in the local tourism industry in order to constantly improve its products and services that would benefit not only the consumers but the service providers as well.

The CNBC Awaaz Travel Awards make it a point that the different fields of the tourism industry in the country such as adventure, heritage, leisure and medical, are highlighted.

Jet Airways' Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Sudheer Raghavan, was especially elated with the recognition it bestowed on them, saying it is a great honor to receive the prestigious award. The CNBC Awaaz Travel Awards are widely recognized as the country's most prestigious awards in the tourism industry.

He added that Jet Airways is always committed to offering the best travel experience to their customers. The most recent honors bestowed on them are a testimony to the kind of service that they give to their clients, he added.

The carrier also received other awards in the past from the same award-giving body. Apart from the 'Best Domestic Airline' awards it got this year and in 2012, it also bagged the 'Airline with the Best Business Class' and the 'Airline with the Best Economy Class' awards in the 2nd edition of the CNBC Awaaz Travel Awards in 2008.

The CNBC Awaaz Travel Awards are held annually hosted by CNBC AWAAZ and presented by Maharashtra Tourism.
