Jet Airways and American Express Team Up

India's second largest airline, Jet Airways, and American Express launched early this week, what could be the most powerful co-branded credit card, Jet Airways American Express Platinum Credit Card.

The card will enable card members to earn free flights with Jet Airways. The Jet Airways American Express Platinum Credit Card members will enable them to earn a rate of 6 JPMiles for each Rs. 100 spent with their card. It will initially reward members 20,000 JPMiles plus a complimentary one-way ticket to a Card member on their first use of the card. Additionally, it will award 10,000 JPMiles automatically to members who apply before December 2012.

Holders of the co-branded Card will enjoy all the benefits that American Express Platinum Service is known for, such as the 24/7 Platinum Concierge, Platinum Assist, emergency replacement and zero liability on lost cards. Other benefits include complimentary access to American Express lounges in Delhi and Mumbai, assistance with visa requirements, membership to Priority Pass and cash withdrawals abroad with zero transaction fee.

Card members will also enjoy a 5% discount on base fare for ticket purchased through www.jetairways.com and www.jetkonnect.com. Additionally, for the first year of membership, Card holders will get a discount of 25% on base fare on a domestic business class ticket. Other benefits Card members will get include excess baggage allowance, priority check-in, and special dining promos of up to 25% off on American Express SELECTS program.

Jet Airways CEO, Mr. Nikos Kardassis, said that its own frequent flyer program, JetPrivilege, is always looking for ways to enhance its service to all members.
