India's air carriers, Jet Airways and Air India will pursue regular flight schedules despite the recent terrorist attacks in Paris reportedly led by ISIS extremists.

Following the attacks in Paris' Bataclan music hall which killed over a hundred people, France's President Francois Hollande immediately announced a state of emergency. He also ordered heightened security alert at the country's borders.

Apart from the killings, the terrorist attack also resulted to injuries affecting more than 200 people.

Despite existing heightened alert in anticipation of the global climate meeting in Paris starting on November 30, terrorists were able to carry out their heinous plan.

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria or ISIS, reportedly admitted that their group has led the attack.

France, along with the US, was involved in past Iraq and Syria airstrikes targeted at ISIS groups in said regions.

Paris' airports as well as train stations remain in operation despite the state of emergency.

Meantime, India's travel sector are wary that a good number of travelers might opt to postpone their scheduled flights to Paris. Riya Travels of India is on a wait and see mode. It anticipates that the effects will be felt within the week and next.

Makemytrip.com meanwhile disclosed that many clients have been inquiring about the incident but none so far have postponed their flights. Nevertheless, it is keeping a close watch on developments related to the attacks and has since been coordinating with the embassy for more updates.

Jet Airways maintains a codesharing agreement with International airlines Etihad and Air France but a representative of Jet Airways clarified that its decision to continue flights to Paris is all its own.

Once a day, Jet Airways flies to Paris from Mumbai while Air India flies to the French capital from Delhi.
