Rudra Mata Airport BHJ
Rudra Mata airport is located 3 kilometres away from the city of Bhug, in the Kutch district of the Indian state of Gujrat. Rudra Mata is a military/public airport with IATA code BHJ and ICAO code VABJ. The airport is managed by the Indian Air Force and the Airports Authority of India. The airport has a single asphalt surfaced runway, the direction of which is 05/23 and its length is 8,205 feet.
Rudra Mata is a domestic airport and currently only Kingfisher Airlines is operating its flights to and from Mumbai. The airport was used to transport relief supplies during the earthquake that struck Gujrat in 2001.
The airport has recently been renamed as Shyamji Krishna Verma, Bhuj Airport.
