Malda airport is located in Malda, also known as English bazaar. Malda is a famous city of the state of west Bengal of India. The city is famous for its mouth-watering mangoes. The airport was recently revamped in 2009 by Airport Authority India. All the potential threats from the encroachments, and high height power cables have been addressed. The airport spreads over a land area of about 140 acres.

The Malda airport and many other airports in the North West Bengal connect it with the major cities in India and several international destinations as well. A well-organized network of airways facilitates easy travelling through domestic as well as international flights.
