Jodhpur Airport JDH

Located in the largest state of India (Rajasthan) is the City of Jodhpur. At 5 Km away from the city centre, you can find Jodhpur Airport. Operating Airlines

This airport is also used by the Indian Air Force. The airport had played an active role in the Kargil War of 1999, as many planes such as Mig-25s, Mig-27s, and Mig-29s were used by Indian Air Force from this base. Hence, both military, and public operations are performed on this airport.

Having a 2,745-metre runway, Indian Airlines operates one flight daily between the cities of Jodhpur and Udaipur. There is a total seating capacity of 145 seats. The same airlines operate another flight on daily basis from Jodhpur and Delhi.

The second airline operating at the airport (Jet airways) provides single daily flight between Jodhpur and Mumbai and Jodhpur and Delhi. The aircraft provided by Jet Airways for this airport is the smallest aircraft that operates on this airport and offers only 72 seats for passengers.

The third airline i.e. Kingfisher Airlines operates occasionally on the airport and provides back and forth air travel for the same cities, as mentioned above in the other two airlines.

The terminal of the airport is small having an accommodative capacity of 200 people for both arrivals and departure. They have good quality navigation aids at the airport with nice ground facilities.

Since Jodhpur Airport is at a small distance of just 5 km from the city centre, the ground transport systems are easily available at the airport. These consist of taxis, buses, or auto-rickshaws. However, taxis are considered the best and the most efficient.
