Jaisalmer Airport JSA

Also named as the Golden City, Jaisalmer is a town located in the state of Rajasthan in India. At 10 Km from the city centre of Jaisalmer is positioned the Jaisalmer Airport. Currently, this airport is performing no operations for any commercial flights except for some tourist months (from 1st October to 31st March) when the airport operates on commercial basis. Otherwise, its runway is being used for military purposes.

Operating Flights

There are two airlines operating in the tourist months: Alliance Airlines and Jet Airways. Through these airlines, the airport is connected to Jaipur and Delhi. Hence, if you are an international tourist and want to reach Jaisalmer by air, you must land first at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, and then book your flight for Jaisalmer. Both airlines offer planes of 72 seats.

The ground transport system outside Jaisalmer Airport is efficient, and you can easily spot a taxi or a motor rickshaw outside the airport.
