Akola Airport AKD

Akola airport is located in the city of Akola in India's state of Maharashtra. The airport IATA code is AKD and ICAO code is VAAK. It’s a small airport managed by the Airports Authority of India. It's also known as Shiwani airport, and is situated at a distance of 7km from the city.

There is a single 3985ft long part concrete, part asphalt, part bitumen bound macadam surface. The runway direction is 10/28. The parking apron is quite small, and only two light propeller aircrafts can be parked simultaneously on it.
