Traces Of Radioactive Substance Found At Delhi Airport

Officials of Delhi International Airport were surprised to find radioactive material reportedly originating from Turkish shipment containing nuclear medicine.
Officials from Delhi airport said that the toxic substance was found within Turkish Airline's cargo area where some containers containing nuclear medicine appear to have been punctured.
India's National Disaster Response Force rushed to the scene to address the situation and investigate how this came about.
An official from the responding emergency team assured that they are on top of the situation, and that there is no cause for worry.
He added that teams specializing in atomic energy have been alerted to evaluate and analyse the incident. Meantime, as a precautionary measure, the cargo of nuclear medicine has been contained and sent to a safer area for investigation.
Rajnath Singh, Indian Home Minister assured the public that the airport premises have been cleared of the radioactive material.
According to reports, two workers in said cargo area have been exposed to the substance. Both were immediately brought to a nearby hospital for proper medical attention and evaluation.
The nuclear medicine was supposed to be brought to one of the hospitals in New Delhi.
