This is newest on the series of difficulties facing Air India.

Air India dismissed nine more pilots, increasing the total number of fired pilots to 45. This is still associated to their dispute over the Boeing Dreamliner training provided to the former Indian Airlines' pilots.

The pilots of Kingfisher Airlines have also filed their protest to the company, but not due to the said training, but because on the issues on their salaries. As of today, around 15 flights have been cancelled, according to the reports.

Such move by the Kingfisher pilots can add to the problems already experienced by the customers due to Air India strike.

Last Thursday, an official of Air India stated that the several flights from Mumbai and Delhi have been cancelled because there were no pilots available. In addition, recently, the airline has also cancelled more than 12 international landings at the Delhi Airport.

Air India, furthermore, stopped accepting bookings for flights going to the United States and Europe.

In the meantime, Mr. Ajit Singh, the Civil Aviation Minister, had again urged the pilots to go back to their work since the government was keen to negotiate with them. He emphasized in his interviews that even from the very start, the issues can be settled through negotiations. "Let them make sure AI [Air India] doesn't lose credibility and passengers don't suffer," he added.

On the hand, some pilots working at the private company Kingfisher airlines also filed sick leaves last Thursday, citing that they did so since the management backed off on their word that the pilot's January salaries will be given on May 9.

The cash-strapped airline ceased its international operations last month and limited their domestic services.

'Illegal'

On Wednesday, the High Court of Delhi deemed the protest of the Air India pilots illegal, and asked them to go back to their work.
