New Mobile Check-in Service for Air India

Air India have introduced a new mobile check in service for its passengers on internal flights.

The service is available for departure from 6 major cities: Mumbai , Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bangalore and will start on April 7.

Passengers will be able to check in using their WAP/GPRS enabled mobile devices by going to:

http://flyai.mobi

and following the on-screen instructions.

The service is designed to help reduce long lines and long waits at check-in.

Air India are the first Indian Airline to offer this service. Jet Lite and Jet Airways are offering similar service via SMS and web but they are only available for their Privilege customers.

According to an official of the airline, "Air India's mobile check-in facility, which is being made available for all domestic travel from the six major metros from Thursday, will be extended to other stations and international flights in a phased manner."
