New Bangalore Service From Etihad

This week saw the commencement of Flights to Bangalore by Etihad Airways, their eighth destination in India.

In an online statement the airline said it has launched four return weekly flights from the United Arab Emirates to Bangalore and plans to increase to a daily service towards the end of March this year.

Neerja Bhatia , manager for India said, "India is a hugely important market for Etihad - in fact, we operate to more destinations in India than any other country."

"We are delighted to be able to reach out to our guests in Karnataka through this new direct service - the first to operate between Bangalore and the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi."

The airline is using its A320 to service the route with two classes.

Etihad also flies to New Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram, Hyderabad and Kochi making a total of 49 flights to India per week.
