Indigo Announce Eight New Internal Flight Routes

IndiGo, India's second largest airline and fastest growing carrier announced the launch of eight new direct flights including from Lucknow to Mumbai and from Delhi and Bangalore, reinforcing its commitment to offer affordable flying options and better connectivity in the region.

With the induction of the 37th brand new Airbus A320 into its fleet, IndiGo will now operate non-stop daily flights between Delhi-Lucknow, Mumbai-Lucknow, and Bengaluru-Lucknow. In addition, IndiGo also launched the sixth non-stop daily flight for Delhi-Bengaluru-Delhi and third non-stop daily flight for Delhi-Ahmedabad-Delhi.

With the induction of the new Airbus, IndiGo offers more travel opportunities to its valued patrons and invites new customers to experience the hassle free service. Commencing on March 27, 2011, these new services will further consolidate IndiGo's position as the fastest growing airline in India, with its 245 flights connecting 25 destinations across the nation.

Commenting on the launch of new flights in the region, Aditya Ghosh, President, IndiGo said, "These new frequencies will provide more flexibility of choice to our customers, enhancing connectivity across India. Our sole purpose is to make travel between varied destinations - hassle free, on time and affordable. With the launch of these flights, I am sure that we will be able to further cater to the increasing demand for air travel to and from Lucknow."

Recently, IndiGo marked it's entry in the Central Indian region with new flights from Raipur connecting Bengaluru, Delhi, and Hyderabad.

IndiGo recently launched its 'Good Karma' campaign, in partnership with 'Save the Children', a non-government organization (NGO). Through this initiative, IndiGo aims to extend its support to lesser privileged children, and help them meet their basic requirement of good education, food and health. The success of this programme will largely depend upon all 6E passengers flying everyday.
