IndiGo Win Best Low-Cost Airline at World Airline Awards

IndiGo Airlines, the largest low-cost carrier In India have been awarded the "Best Low-Cost Airline" award for Central Asia and India at the World Airline Awards held in Paris, earlier this week.

The honour was announced at the Paris Air Show 2011, the oldest and biggest air show held every year. Based on an independent passenger survey, the SKYTRAX awards recognize benchmark for overall excellence in the airline industry.

The World Airline Rating as introduced by Skytrax carries a detailed quality analysis across more than 800 different areas of product and service delivery. The survey includes over 200 airlines, from the largest international airlines to small domestic carriers, and measured standards across more than 38 different items of airline front-line product and service.

Operating for over 12 years, the survey is held in highest esteem for its clarity of process and rigorously applied rules of complete independence.
