AirAsia India Starts Hiring Flight Crew

The local subsidiary of AirAsia has announced recently that it will start accepting applicants for its flight service crew on April 13, 2013. AirAsia India which would be based in Chennai will start operations soon, initially serving the huge domestic market.

AirAsia India is inviting applicants who aspire to become flight attendants during their walk-in interview in Chennai on the 13th of April at Chinmaya Heritage Centre, located along 13th Avenue, Harrington Road, Chetpet, from 9am to 3pm. Successful applicants will be asked to come back on the next day, April 14, for the final interview.

Applicants who possess good quality attributes such as natural passion to serve, sincere and sunny smile, outgoing personality, inexhaustible energy as well as excellent communication skills have a better chance to get the job.

Suhaila Hassan, Head of Flight Attendants of AirAsia Group, is calling all interested applicants to grab the chance to be part of the region's fast-growing airline. She said that all their flight crew members are encouraged to find their own place in the sun and develop from there. AirAsia, she added, provides equal opportunity to all its employees to advance their career with the world-class training they get from the airline which has become the world's best low-cost airline.

Basic qualifications for both male and female applicants include a fluency in oral and written English in addition to his local language. He or she must be at least 20 years of age or not older than 35 years. Female applicant should not be shorter than 160cm and not taller than 170cm on barefoot while male applicants should not be shorter than 170cm and don't tower above 180cm.

They should also obtain their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) along with a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC). Everybody is welcome to apply including those who have prior experience with other airlines as well as fresh graduates.

Applicants are advised to bring their credentials during the interview which include a well-prepared resume; an accomplished application form; original and copies of the following - any identity document (ID), passport, education certificate; one recent passport-size photo; one recent postcard-size full-body picture.

Applicants should come in business attire for both male and female. Female applicants should wear full make up and need to wear knee-length skirts.
