Thursday, 11th December 2014 at 04:58am

Travelers from both countries in two continents will soon enjoy a non-stop service via Air Canada starting November 2015.

The planned direct service to Delhi is the airline's 82nd international destination and one of five new destinations to be launched for 2015.

The airline's B787-9, aka Dreamliner, will debut in this route opening new opportunities for many Indian travelers to explore Canada's varied tourist attractions that range from man-made to natural wonders.

The world's second most populous nation offers great opportunities for Air Canada, as it expands into Asia's largest democracy. India is considered to be the largest international market that is conspicuously absent in Air Canada's global route network.

The airline sees the potential of the Indian market so it has included in its route expansion for 2015.

As early as now, tickets for the planned Toronto-Delhi route are already up for booking. Flights will operate on a four-times weekly frequency, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday for its Delhi-bound service, and every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday for Toronto-bound flights.

The B787-9 jetliner will come equipped with the award-winning three-cabin service and the business class lie-flat seats.

Eligible customers will get the opportunity to earn for themselves Aeroplan points and redemption of the same. Indian travelers will also be able to avail of the priority check-in service when they fly via Air Canada.

The airline has plotted the flights for the new route to provide smoother connections to onward flights across Canada or India.

Air Canada currently flies to 81 destinations overseas in five continents and 21 destinations across Canada.
