Muzaffarpur Airport MZU
Muzaffarpur Airport is located in Muzaffarpur, which is considered the largest city of the Muzaffarpur district of the Indian state of Bihar. This airport was in operation previously, when the litchi crop had first seeded its roots in Muzaffarpur. However, once the crop (which is the specialty of Muzaffarpur) was on the business, the investors stopped coming at this place and handled their businesses from their own offices. Hence, the airport stopped operating any flights.
Since the airport is not in commercial operations, if a person wants to reach Muzaffarpur by air, there are two alternatives. The first alternative is to book a flight that lands at Patna Airport and from there, the person can travel 67 Km to Muzaffarpur. He/she can also avail the services of Jaiprakash Narayan International Airport or Gaya International Airport, which are 75 Km, and 172 Km from the city centre of Muzaffarpur. The second option that a person can avail is to book a charter flight that will land at the runway of Muzaffarpur Airport.
In case a person wants to avail the second option, the company that provides jet charter planes to Muzaffarpur Airport is Stratos Jet Charters. However, if you have your own private charter plane such as Citation, Beechjet, Lear, Challenger, Falcon, or Gulfstream, you can book a flight to land at the airport’s runway, which is 3,990 feet long.
If you have landed at the airport and you want to find some place to stay, you can opt for either Hotel Ranchi Ashok or Hotel Yuvraj Palace, which are both considered the best ones in Muzaffarpur.
