Kingfisher Gives Free Flights to World Cup Heroes

Kingfisher Airlines today announced that the cricketers of the winning world cup team, their wives and children can take advantage of free lifetime air travel in its carriers both within India and on its international routes.

A media release, today, announced: "Consequently, all 15 players of the team, the spouse of each player and their dependent children can now travel as Privileged Guests on Kingfisher First across Kingfisher Airlines' entire route network covering both domestic and international destinations on flights operated directly by the airline."

The team, captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, were crowned the World Cup winners after beating Sri Lanka by six wickets in the final at the Wankhede Stadium here on Saturday. This made them the second Indian squad to win cricket's showpiece event after Kapil Dev's 1983 outfit.
