Jet Airways Now Offers Exclusive Full-Service Products

Jet Airways used to operate a budget airline, JetLite, when it ceased operations this year due to stiff competition.

Effective December 1, its wholly-owned low-cost subsidiary was rebranded as Jet Airways, thereby ceasing its operations altogether.

The airline thus offers uniform full-service products and seamless connections to its customers across India with its 450 flights per day. It serves more than 50 domestic destinations across the country, providing Indian travelers an extensive network for their travel needs.

In addition to its extensive domestic network, the airline also flies to over 22 international destinations. Moreover, its alliance with Etihad Airways further enables the carrier to provide customers access to more than 135 international points around the world.

Jet Airways CEO, Cramer Ball, said that they are optimistic on the airline's future, now that its focus is centered solely on full-service operations, thus giving them more opportunity to strategize to improve their products and service.

He further remarked that Jet Airways will continue to offer excellent products and in-flight service that the airline has been known for.

JetPrivilege members will now be able to earn JPMiles across Jet Airways' entire network even on routes that its low-cost affiliate used to serve. The privilege includes faster tier upgrades, easier tier retention, enhanced tier benefits, easy redemption of points at any of over 150 partners across the country.

Earning points is made easier now as customers will automatically earn 500 JPMiles for every flight booked.

The decision by the board to switch to full-service operations and fold up its low-cost affiliate is a strategy to bring the airline back to profitability.
