The figure was a record for a local airline who was able to fly in excess of 30,000 passengers in one day seven times over, starting on the 18th of October successively through the 21st. After a 4-day hiatus, the airline managed to carry more than 30,000 passengers again on the 26th, 27th and peaking on the 28th which saw the airline carrying 34, 911 people.

The most recent record is a huge achievement for Air India as it only managed to cross that 30,000 mark in only 10 instants for the whole year of 2011.

Air India also achieved a 95% seat factor for its domestic flights and 69% for its international flights on 29th October, from its Delhi hub.

Furthermore, the airline was able to fill its capacity by 90 percent on its domestic service and 68 percent on its international sector from the Northern Region.

The flag carrier's own frequent flyer program, Flying Returns, was also able to log its one millionth member this month. The program has seen its membership growing by leaps and bounds as 400 new members are admitted every day.
